Mexico Auto Insurance

Did you know U.S. automobile insurance is not valid in Mexico? Even though some U.S. companies extend their coverage a certain number of miles from the border, if you have an accident only a Mexican automobile liability policy is acceptable by the Mexican authorities as evidence of financial responsibility.

Tell us about your experiences with texting drivers

We want to hear from you. Maybe you text when you drive. Or perhaps you've experienced the danger of driving around others who text and drive.

Transportation officials estimate 71 Idaho fatalities in 2008 alone were the result of distracted or inattentive drivers. It is the most prevalent contributing circumstance for multiple vehicle crashes in the state.

Studies demonstrate that the eye, hand and tactile distractions associated with texting cause crash risks to skyrocket. And one in five drivers may be texting at any given time!

AAA believes stronger educational efforts and a good, enforceable law banning texting while driving is critical. Read more from Idaho Division President Jim Manion.
